Unlike full-time nurseries that charge all year, Davidson Pre-school operates term-time only, offering real support for working families. This means you can use your 15 or 30 hours funded childcare with no hidden extras and no costly holiday fees when care isn’t needed. We focus on smaller group sizes, strong key-person relationships, and a calm, homely environment where children feel safe, secure, and truly known – not "just another number." Learning through joyful exploration
At Davidson Pre-school, children experience a warm, inspiring environment where they feel safe and excited to learn every day. We follow the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) through purposeful, play-based and curiosity-led learning, both indoors and outdoors. Children naturally develop communication, physical, social, emotional, and early maths & literacy skills through activities like messy play, construction, role play, sensory exploration, and outdoor adventures. We focus on preparing children for school emotionally, socially, and academically, not just academically.

We're especially proud of our inclusive approach, supporting children with additional needs, developmental delays, or speech, behaviour, and emotional regulation needs. With a designated SENDCo and safeguarding lead on site, our fully qualified and experienced staff work closely with families to ensure every child gets the support they deserve. Choosing our term-time only model means more affordable, quality early education that fits real family life, mirroring the school calendar and allowing for smoother transitions to school for your little ones.
